I feel like I’m going through a slight style evolution right now. Denim has always been one of the last things I ever pick up when I shop…until recently. Typically, I avoid buying jeans because finding a great pair of jeans is much like searching for the perfect bra- it’s practically impossible! As real as the struggle is I have really opened up my palette for denim and I’m not just talking pants. Lately I’m drawn to all kinds of denim styles and there’s so much out there. I’m crushing on fringe, embroidery and beading as well as the classics.
I love this Rachel Roy outfit combo. The top is really easy to take from work to weekend and you know how much I love a style that does overtime.
When I do pick out a pair of jeans I like to go for a distressed look. This always gives an instant edge to an outfit. I love how soft this pair is so much that I’m contemplating buying the other two colors! I’d gladly welcome those additions to my closet.
Take a look below for all my Spring denim picks, including the ones I’m wearing.
There are two things that can really make an otherwise mundane outfit pop: a bold lip and and a great shoe. Whenever I’m feeling like I need that extra bit of sass to enhance my look I go for a bright, fun lip color and a shoe that is unexpected. With all the rain we’ve been getting in New York, my transitional wardrobe is out in full effect. Booties, trenches and hats are my favorites right now as we move towards warmer weather.
This lightweight trench has taken me through several seasons. The versatility of this jacket makes it one of my wardrobe staples. There’s something refreshingly dramatic about putting on a long coat or jacket. It takes any outfit to the next level. As long as I’ve had this trench I’ve been meaning try it out as a dress. What a great way to reinvent the look! I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner!
To add some spunk I put on these awesome metallic booties that I’m so obsessed with, my favorite wide brim hat and some futuristic sunnies. Perfect for unpredictable spring weather.
How do you reinvent your wardrobe staples? Talk to me!
Hey there lovelies! I really wish I could brave the upcoming snow storm with you guys in NYC but I am just having too much fun in Barcelona, Spain! Truth be told I was supposed to return tomorrow but the airline urged us to change our travel plans because it’s highly unlikely that we would make it out tomorrow anyway. I’m not complaining though, the flight change cost nothing and the extra day at our airbnb was next to nothing. All the more reason for me to continue taking in the beautiful architecture, eat more delicious food and drink copious amounts of white wine.
So far I’ve visited Montserrat Mountain which is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. The mountaintop is so high that you can only get up there by cable car. I also went to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell- both masterpieces by Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi was truly an artist and it shows all throughout Barcelona.
Another highlight of my trip is the food. Everything tastes so good! From the pastries to dinner, all of it has been delicious. The fact that they serve weekday brunch is the cherry on top. And of course everything pairs well with wine!!! Sip sip!
I promise to share more with you guys when I return, maybe before. Until then, stay safe if you’re in the storm area! See you guys back in the States soon 🙂
